Nine live cameras from the town square to the top of the Aiguille du Midi. One minute here before breakfast tells you more than any forecast: where the sun is, where the cloud sits, and where the snow actually fell.
How locals read them
Check the Aiguille du Midi cam first: if the summit is clear at 8 am, high areas will be spectacular. If it is buried but the Chamonix town cam shows falling snow, head for the trees at Les Houches and thank us later.High mountain
