Getting to Les Houches

First village off the motorway, last to get crowded. Les Houches has the shortest Geneva transfer in the valley, its own train station on the Mont Blanc Express, and free parking where Chamonix charges.

Three ways in

From Geneva

A40 motorway, Les Houches is the first valley exit: 80 km, about 1h05. Every Chamonix coach and shuttle serves Les Houches on request; shared shuttles drop door-to-door.

From Chamonix

Bus line 1 or the winter skibus lines 15/16, free with a lift pass or guest card, in about 10 minutes. The Mont Blanc Express train also stops at Les Houches station.

By train

St-Gervais-Le Fayet is 15 minutes down the line; from there the Mont Blanc Express climbs straight to Les Houches. Free between Servoz and Vallorcine with the guest card.

The Geneva comparison below is calculated for Chamonix; Les Houches is 10 minutes closer and usually a few euros cheaper by shuttle.
